Figures from a sketchbook reimagined.

Punxsutawney Phil may have not seen his shadow this year, but my gut is telling me not to be fooled by this warm weather. We are definitely in fools spring where I live.

You know those moments of life where you have no updates, but are not sitting around twiddling your thumbs?

That’s me at the moment, and I’m concluding that it’s okay to just be in a state of progress.

Here’s some things that caught my eye last week:

Introducing Kansas City’s first poet laureate
Melissa Ferrer Civil (&) is a talented poet, activist, and artist. I have been blessed to have met her, and I have immense respect for her craft and the words she shares with the world. I’m so excited to see what she does in this role.

Birthday Wishes
Love this animated birthday message Mariya Pilipenko created for her mom!

I must be 40
This vintage shirt is so relatable.

Flower Pasta
I’m in awe of people’s creativity in the kitchen.

Visible Creative Mending for Knitwear
After following Flora Collingwood-Norris’ Instagram for years, and doing an “just okay” job visibly mending a sock of mine, I decided to buy her book. I have been slowly going through the book learning how to do the mends, and she explains everything so well! Her use of color in her projects are beautiful and inspiring!

CLIP
As an e-bike enthusiast who lives in a very hilly area, I really want to get this! As much as I have enjoyed the power and speed of the e-bike I own, it is so heavy to carry up and down stairs to my apartment. Also, depending the kind of e-bike you get, can be very time-consuming to maintain. This item can turn an ordinary bike into an ebike!
