Allyson Lassiter contacted me to make a custom font for her graphic novel Star Beasts. Part of her reasons for making a font of her lettering was to help her speed up the production process.

I took her lettering and turned it into a working typeface that looked identical to how she was lettering her graphic novel.

She collaborated with a writer Stephanie Young on this graphic novel, so having a custom font of Allyson’s lettering gave them the flexibility to quickly make text changes when working on the book.
